ANTONIO ZOLLI Cal. 12/70 – 8×57 IS

Antonio Zolli & C. was founded in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, one of the most important gunmaking regions in Europe. Since the 1950s the company has produced hunting and sporting guns and is known for very good mechanical workmanship, quality steels, hand or semi-hand engraving and large-scale exports to Germany and Austria. Combination guns in 12/70 + 8×57 IS were very popular in Central Europe because they allow a single gun to be used both for small game (smoothbore barrel) and for wild boar, roe deer or red deer (rifled barrel).

General appearance: barrel bluing approx. 95%+, the engraving is fine and well preserved, the walnut is of superior quality, the Bavarian cheekpiece and rubber butt pad are in very good condition, and the scope sits on a solid German-style swing mount; mechanically, the gun has seen very little use; Kahles 8 x 32 scope with No. 3 reticle. The gun has automatic ejectors and a selective trigger, almost complete bluing, above-average wood, attractive engraving and a highly sought-after configuration (12/70 + 8×57 IS);
