Frequently asked questions – Pistols
What documents do I need to buy a pistol?
Your identity document, a valid firearms licence and a purchase authorisation issued by the police for the relevant category. We will tell you exactly what is needed for the pistol you choose before your visit.
What does the 9×19 mm calibre mean?
9×19 mm (also known as 9 mm Parabellum or 9 mm Luger) denotes a 9 mm diameter bullet in a 19 mm case. It is the most widespread pistol calibre in the world, used by the Glock 17, Glock 19 and many other models, and ammunition is easy to find.
Which pistol is suitable for sport shooting?
For dynamic shooting (IPSC/USPSA), shooters usually choose pistols with a crisp trigger and a longer barrel, such as 2011 or 1911 models in 9×19 mm. For beginners, a .22 LR pistol has low recoil and inexpensive ammunition. We will help you choose according to discipline and experience.
