Description

Brief history

The Beretta 90‑Two was launched in 2006 as a modernised reinterpretation of the well-established Beretta 92 family. The pistol retained the open-top slide, the short-recoil barrel and the DA/SA mechanism, but was given a more streamlined design, an accessory rail with a removable cover, an interchangeable ergonomic grip sleeve and redesigned controls.

It was made in 9×19 mm, 9×21 IMI and .40 S&W, but its production run was relatively short, the model later being superseded commercially by variants such as the Beretta 92A1. For this reason the 90‑Two is less common today than the 92FS and is of growing interest to collectors. The example pictured is the Type F variant, with a manual safety and a hammer-decocking function.

Condition assessment

Judging by the photograph, the pistol is in excellent condition, visually estimated at around 99-100%:

  • the black finish is well preserved;

  • the markings are crisp and original;

  • the edges and slide serrations are well defined;

  • the modular grip shows no wear;

  • only light handling marks and a few superficial marks on the slide are visible.

Market valuation

The current international price for a used Beretta 90‑Two is approximately 500–700 USD, with a reported average of around 600 USD. A European example in very good condition, in 9×21 calibre, was listed at approximately 550 EUR.

For the example pictured:

  • realistic market value: 550–700 EUR;

  • recommended catalogue price: approximately 695 EUR;

  • with the original case, two magazines, the manual and complete accessories: 700–800 EUR.

It is a modern Beretta pistol produced in a relatively short run, valued both as a sport shooting pistol and as a representative piece in the evolution of the Model 92 family.
