LLAMA GABILONDO Y Cia. .22 LR

A semi-automatic pistol made by the Spanish company Gabilondo y Cía (known commercially as “Llama”), active mainly in the 20th century. Made in Spain (Eibar), an important centre of European gunmaking. Operation: semi-automatic, blowback (or short recoil) system, as on 1911-type models. Slide inscription: “LLAMA CAL .22 LR”. Calibre: .22 Long Rifle. The gun is inspired by the Colt M1911 design, but in a reduced size. Capacity: ~7–9 rounds; construction: steel, with plastic/Bakelite grips (with the Llama logo); external hammer (single action). Good cosmetic condition: even blueing, normal wear on the edges; original grips with the Llama logo – a plus for collectors; legible markings (very important). Ideal for a collection or recreational shooting, a classic piece of Spanish manufacture.
