Description
The Smith & Wesson Model 60 was introduced in 1965 and immediately entered firearms history as the world's first mass-produced stainless-steel J-Frame revolver. It was essentially the stainless version of the famous blued Model 36 Chief’s Special; the Model 60 also earned the name “Lady Smith” because of its small size and overall appearance.
Classic features: calibre .38 Special (early generations), 5 rounds, SA/DA action, J-Frame, approx. 2” barrel, light weight and very discreet carry.
The example pictured is an early, pre-.357 Magnum variant, which makes it more interesting to collectors than many modern variants. The revolver is in good to very good condition,
with its original stainless finish retained, well-chosen aftermarket/vintage-style wooden grips,
minimal wear from use and no visible corrosion.
Market valuation for the European market:
700 – 1,000 € for a standard example in good condition;
1,100 – 1,500 €+ for early examples (1960s–’70s).
