Description
Genuine Smith & Wesson Victory Model revolver in its original military configuration, derived from the famous Smith & Wesson Model 10. It is a typical WWII example in .38 Spl. calibre, in British/Commonwealth or American military configuration. The Victory Model appeared during the Second World War as a militarised version of the Military & Police revolver (the future Model 10). Following the introduction of the “V”-prefix serial numbers in 1942, the revolvers became known as “Victory Models”. More than 800,000 were produced. The American versions were in .38 Special.
The example shown has a quality blued/arsenal-refinished finish with clean edges, elegant wooden grips, a correct military lanyard ring and light, even wear. The “SMITH & WESSON” marking and the frame profile confirm the M&P/Victory family. The example in the photograph is above the market average in appearance and very attractive for display and collecting.
