SPRINGFIELD 1911-A1 Mil-Spec/GI Cal. 9×19 mm.

Springfield Armory 1911-A1 full-size Government Model in 9×19 mm, configured in an updated Mil-Spec/GI style. This example has been fitted with Magpul OD Green grips and a skeletonised trigger while retaining the classic lines of the 1911 platform. The M1911 platform was designed by John Moses Browning and adopted by the US Army in 1911, going on to become one of the most iconic pistols in history. The M1911A1 version appeared in the 1920s.
The example in the photographs is in very good condition: even finish with little wear, well-aligned slide and frame, clean edges, crisp and correct markings and no visible oxidation. It is fitted with aftermarket Magpul grips, a competition-style skeletonised trigger, a Commander-style hammer and a parkerized/matte blue finish. These modifications increase its practical appeal without adversely affecting its value.
