TT 33 RADOM Cal.7,62×25 Tokarev

The Tokarev TT-33 was designed by Fedor Tokarev for the Red Army and officially introduced in 1933 to replace the Nagant M1895 revolver. The pistol pictured is (judging by the “RADOM” marking) a Polish variant produced at FB Radom after the war. Important: “TT-33 Radom” does NOT refer to the Polish VIS Radom pistol, but to the Polish copy of the Soviet Tokarev made in communist Poland. It used the 7.62×25 mm Tokarev cartridge and drew on Browning/Colt designs, with relatively mild recoil and very high projectile velocity. It is a simple and extremely robust pistol.
The example shown is very clean and excellently preserved, with an even black finish, typical TT grips and a military lanyard ring;
The serial marking “PC12030” appears more likely to be a commercial/import serial.
