MAUSER K98

Mauser K98 sniper/Gebirgsjäger/Waffen SS carbine produced at Mauser Werke Oberndorf (WaA 135) in 1942, in 8 x 57 JS calibre, with a DIALYTAN x 4 scope and original side mount, matching numbers with the rifle; the woodwork also matches the rifle and bears multiple WaA 135 stamps. 90% of the original bluing retained, barrel in impeccable condition, crisp rifling. The scope gives a perfect image, with a type 3 reticle. SS runes are visible; they were applied after the rifle was made, when it was assigned to a commando platoon (Gebirgsjäger).
