Description
The Italian company Fratelli Piotti was founded in the early 1960s by the brothers Araldo and Faustino Piotti in Gardone Val Trompia, in the province of Brescia. Piotti guns are today regarded as among the finest sporting guns in the world and are frequently compared with the great British names such as Holland & Holland and Purdey. The actions are machined from solid blocks of Böhler steel, and each gun requires hundreds of hours of hand work for fitting, engraving and finishing. From the outset, the Piotti philosophy has been to produce a very small number of luxury guns, made entirely by hand and tailored to each client. The guns are machined from solid blocks of Böhler steel, and each one requires hundreds of hours of hand work for fitting, engraving and finishing.
The photographs show a very high-grade Piotti KING, with superior fine bulino-style engraving and hunting scenes, Italian walnut of exceptional quality, and the finishes typical of luxury guns produced in very small series. The gun is in impeccable condition, both barrels and woodwork. The action locks up perfectly tight and the bluing is 100% intact.
