Ziegenhahn & Sohn is one of the traditional workshops of the German Suhl region, one of Europe’s great centres of fine sporting guns. The company traces its origins to the partnership between Alfred Ziegenhahn and Heinrich Diem from 1911 onwards, and the “Zi-Di” name became known for high-quality hunting guns. After 1923, Alfred and his son Fritz built up their own firm, producing premium-grade sporting and hunting guns.

This gun is a Ziegenhahn & Sohn sidelock ejector in .375 Holland & Holland Magnum, finished to a very high standard: bulino engraving with African scenes (buffalo, leopard, lions, elephant), walnut of exceptional quality (probably Exhibition Grade/Circassian walnut), engraved lockplates and 2 additional sets of barrels.
